our background:

  • In December 1997, looking back at what have been going on for five previous years, we suddenly realized that we have been doing it already all along – independent research and casting for Western productions, which came to shoot in Russia. Starting with of the “Police Academy - 7” episode back in 1991 and “Terminal Velocity” where Nastasia Kinski comes to Russia to visit her relatives, followed by “The Saint” and Bernard Rose’s “Anna Karenina”, then Paul Pavlikovski’s “Stringer”, produced by BBC – each time we found ourselves acting as an independent casting unit, contracted by productions.
  • Each of us having many years of experience in the field, we brought together our casting libraries and files, forming a pretty good database. This was how we became known as “Casting Center” to local production units, mostly commercials and this is how we had to expand our database to include photo-models, special abilities and stunts. Model managements quickly realized the advantage of having their mode ls represented in one centralized database, and soon we had practically all photo-models of central Russia filed!
  • But it was during the “Pizza Hut” commercial shoot in Moscow (one featuring Mikhail Gorbachev), that we saw we were still missing something. All the cast was found through us – well, except the leading character! Something had to be done about it. This is why, two years ago, our “i-casting” Ltd. was officially brought to life, a company with mixed French-Dutch-Russian capital. Now we work for commercials, domestic and foreign TV and movie productions, casting models for magazines and even arranging auditions for a stage musical, produced by Russian and British partners in Moscow. Our video library is growing fast, because it is free for the performers, when they want to bring in their video. Now we are open to accept more casting jobs, our commitments staying the same – working with and for the success of our clients, as if we were a part of their production team.

what to expect:

  • Someday movie making, producing shows and modeling business will become civilized in Russia again. Implementing the world-recognized approaches, we believe, in a long term will lead to establishing performers’ professional status and make our country’s artistic resources internationally accessible. Dealing with Russian talents will be easy, then. We know our means to make it easy for you – today.

i-casting - it’s you casting!
